Meet the Author, Sarah Ambrosia Mulleneaux!
Sarah is an operating room nurse in Arizona, but her dream is to be a stay-at-home dog and pig mom someday. Sarah, her husband, and their twin boys have a family business called The Poop Fairy, a pooper-scooper service. Their home is full of animals, including seven dogs, Winston the Pig, four cats, seven tortoises, and two bearded dragons. People ask if Sarah lives on a farm; she hopes to one day.

Sarah’s love for animals came from her dad. When she was little, they raised a baby pigeon together from the moment it hatched. The experience left a lasting memory that continues to inspire her. Thinking that Winston was cute, Sarah adopted him when her friend needed to rehome him because of her allergies.
The Real-Life Winston (Sarah’s Pig)
Everything is fair game for nine-year-old Winston. He loves all types of food except for bell peppers and black olives. He truly acts like a human, searching in cupboards and sleeping in his three comfy beds!

Did You Know?
A Special Tribute Hidden in the
Pages and on Winston the Plush
You may or may not know that a purple ribbon is hidden on each page of The Adventures of Winston the Pig. This ribbon is a tribute to my dad, Homer, to whom the book is dedicated. He passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 64 in 2020. The purple ribbon represents pancreatic cancer and is also my favorite color. My dad was one of the kindest people you could ever meet, and my love for animals came from him. When I was little, we raised a baby pigeon together, hatching it and everything.

In addition to the book, there is a purple ribbon on the bottom of Winston’s foot on the plush, serving as another heartfelt tribute. Although my dad didn’t get to see the finished book or plush, I know he’s up there watching over me.
